Scissor Lift 23960, Cherry Picker / Trailer Mounted 23963

Description

Scissor Lifts are some of the most common types of EWPs that are used to complete a broad range of tasks and are a great option to add to your skillset. Whether you’re using an electric, in-door machine or a diesel powered Rough Terrain Scissor Lift, we’ve got you covered.

Cherrypickers or Trailer Mounted EWPs are a top pick for those smaller jobs right up to industrial level construction. Convenient and relatively lightweight, these machines are the backbone of the trailer EWP market and can be towed to where you need them.

Our assessors pass on their EWP experience and knowledge of the machines with the aim to give you confidence and practical, real world, expertise allowing you or your staff to complete their job safely.

23966 – Describe types of EWP, and legislative requirements for their use (Theory) - This must be completed for all new card holders

23963 – Assess the worksite, prepare and operate a trailer mounted EWP (Practical)

The one-day course is designed to deliver essential safety and compliance information. Attendees will gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills in:

  • Health and Safety Legislative Requirements
  • Types of Elevated Work Platforms (EWP’s)
  • EWP Compliance Requirements
  • Hazard identification, risk assessment and controls
  • Fall arrest harness inspection, fitting and use
  • Conduct pre and post operational checks
  • Safe Operation of EWP
  • Emergency procedures, Rescue Plans
  • Theory & Practical assessments, observation and demonstration.

Upon successful completion of the course, we take care of the rest! Your Unit Standards will be sent to The Skills Organisation who will place these on your NZQA Record of Achievement. You will then receive a Silvercard EWP Operator ID License as proof of training and competency.

In a hurry to get proof of competency? Not a problem, we can email you a “temporary” Silvercard License which can be used when operating machinery until you receive the official photo ID license.
